Blasting off belly fat away is the main concern of health conscious individuals nowadays.  Setting aside the fact that wearing bikini and sexy outfits can be a no-no, having belly fat may cause serious health concerns.  Because it may lead to heart disease and type II diabetes, belly fat does not qualify as a pretty accessory. To eliminate this, regular exercise is needed.

Many of us think that our body stores only one type of fat deposit.  But anatomically speaking our body has two kinds of fats – visceral and subcutaneous.  The visceral type of fat wraps the internal organs; on the other hand, the subcutaneous can be found on the outside – just beneath the skin. This is the fat that wobbles like a jelly when you are jumping up and down or running.  One must exert a greater effort to burn a larger amount of calories by avoiding overeating.   One has to truly think about the commercialism in the TV ads that speak about losing weight through a faster means.

It is important to note that not all workouts can eradicate fat. Using weight in your mid section does not necessarily lessen the amount in that part since the lower back is exerting more effort.  Some sit-ups may result to a bended back. Skipping meals isn’t advisable for this may affect your brain activities.

With the goal set in your mind of losing weight, you must begin as early as now.  The older you get, the harder for you to burn the fats most esp. when you’re above forty.

Here are two exercises that will tone the torso and put a minimal stress on your body muscles.

By an exercise ball, go down on your right knee and pull it to the other side of your body.    Gradually bend over so your right leg will be stretched outward and your right hand is faced downwards.   Slowly reduce your ribcage and hip’s gap by raising your body while keep your head at level with your spinal column.    After that, wrap your body around the ball while putting your right hand on your ear.   Elevate the upper part of your body whilst maintaining your body’s equilibrium.

This routine is simple and focuses on your abdominal muscle.  Rest flat on the floor and lift your knees to reach 45 degrees.   Fasten your fingers at the back of your head then begin pedaling just like you are actually riding a bicycle as you bring your right elbow to you left knee and the other way around.

These routines should not be left to stand on their own.  A combination of a balanced diet and regular exercise is advisable.   In reaching your goal, always remember the 2 Ds – Determination and Discipline.
